Todd Shafer was born in Ashland, Ohio and grew up surrounded by racing. His father John was a professional auto racing champion himself. At the age of 8, Todd started racing Go-Karts and by age 16 was strapped into mini-sprints. At 20 he raced sprint cars in the World of Outlaws and by 24 started to climb the ladder as a winning race car driver. He competed in and won several Late Model, Truck, ARCA and NASCAR Sanctioned races. During those years, Todd has attended several NASCAR racing schools to learn from the best and improve his racing skills.
Todd has faced fear closer than most of us ever will. With an almost fatal accident in 2001, he has proven that raw guts and determination will get you farther in life. To know he almost didn't make it out of that burning car alive, and still wanting to race, shows he has more passion and determination to race than ever before. Todd was born with racing fuel in his veins and learned from a very young age to never give up on your dreams.
